My Newest Piece

This is my latest commission for a beautiful old house with a lovely arched window which illuminates a stairwell.
The request was for a sunflower which will act as secondary glazing, the existing secondary glazing was plain clear glass.
My clients and I went through a few design ideas, but the first was chosen and then a template of the aperture was provided.
We agreed on a tolerance on the size of the piece to be made, as the house is so old not one part of the house is square or symmetrical.
I provided regular updates and double checked the glass to be used and progress stage photos were taken and shared.
Due to the owners location I was able to deliver this completed piece and carry out a trial fitting before any changes to their existing secondary window were made.
The different light penetrating this glass, offers numerous effects on the glass and the stairwell, it is very eye catching.
My clients are thrilled and I am so in love with this piece I was actually was torn when I had to hand it over.
