3D stainedglass, this is tricky. Lots of pieces, lots of tricks and jigs needed and lots of broken Ikea lamps were needed for me to use the bases which they kindly sold off cheaply. Alas these lamp bases are no longer available, so no more bargain buys in my life.
And yet, if you are savvy and finally realise that the shades I make, only need to sit around a lamp base (adding a gap for a cable) and not necessarily on a stepped lip of a light base, the limitations disappear, hoorah!
With that apiphany, I then started making larger lamps at 55cm tall, down to baby tea light lamps which are about 15cm tall. Stained Glass and light, the perfect combination, don't you think?
