I am and always will be a fan of the human body and I had wanted to attend a life drawing class for many years and for one reason or another, it never came to be.
That was until I attended a short course at The Base in Greenham, Newbury and during my first class I knew I would keep going to these on and off as long as they run.
Observation of the real thing versus copying from photos, books and other media, just is a different skill entirely, it is a great challenge, especially when you compare your pieces with the other artists. You are all looking at the same body, but the interpretation is always different, it is remarkable.
I am always learning new things and this is certainly a skill I need many more hours of practice at and I will enjoy the journey.
